Candlelight & Strings - Vivaldi & The Four Seasons (19 Sept)

$60

Join us in the barrel hall at Māori Point for an evening of candlelight, classical music, and winter warmth.

Violinist and violist Cameron Stanley, of the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra returns to Māori Point this winter with two entirely new programmes for our Candlelight & Strings series. This second performance explores the music of Vivaldi, including highlights from The Four Seasons, one of classical music's most beloved and enduring works.

Throughout the evening, Cameron will also share stories and reflections about the music, its history, and his craft, creating a rich and engaging experience. This concert follows Bach & Baroque, the first programme in the Candlelight & Strings series, presented on 25 July. Whether you're already familiar with The Four Seasons or hearing it for the first time, this promises to be an intimate and memorable performance in the unique setting of our barrel hall.

Set against the stillness of a winter night, this is an opportunity to slow down, listen, and savour both beautiful music and the atmosphere of the barrel hall. Your ticket includes elegant canapés served throughout the evening. Our wines will be available for purchase by the glass.

Formal attire is encouraged (but not required) - it’s a rare excuse, in the middle of winter, to pull out something special: a velvet jacket, a cocktail dress, a kilt - whatever lifts your spirits.
