Visit Māori Point to walk among vines and barrels, taste wines, enjoy a platter of local produce. Or go deeper with a tour of our viticulture and winemaking, a walk along the Mata Au (Clutha River), or one of our events. We hand craft natural wines - Sparkling, Rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir - and we'd like to share them with you and teach you about this special place.
Experience award-winning Central Otago wine, grown and made on-site. Our standard wine tasting is six wines for $20 per person (waived with bottle purchase) and takes about 45 minutes. For those interested in a more in-depth experience, our Vines & Barrels tour involves a full wine tasting and also takes you out in the vineyard to learn about the ecosystem and viticulture, and into our barrel hall to learn about winemaking and taste young wine from the barrel. This experience takes about 90 minutes and is $75 per person, and must be booked in advance.
Although we are not a full-service restaurant, we carry local food items for assembling lovely platters to enjoy at our picnic tables. Items include smoked salmon, cheeses, olives, preserves, pâté and other charcuterie, crackers (including gluten-free) and nuts.
If your group has 6 or more people, please let us know when you plan to visit by emailing tastingroom@maoripoint.co.nz. For groups of 5 or fewer, no bookings necessary for our standard wine tasting experience.
Electric Vehicle Charging available. We are using our solar panels to power a Tesla Charger up to 17kW (good for adding 80-90km in an hour of charging), free for use for our customers during Tasting Room open hours. We have an adapter for Nissan Leafs and most other EVs.
